Purple Turnip Festival

This event takes place at the Market Square and Lisburn and Navigation House.

This Halloween, enjoy the Purple Turnip Festival.

On Saturday the 29 of October from 12pm to 4pm in Market Square, join in the hunt as 20 Purple Turnips take up residence in Market Square and Bow Street. Find the turnips to be in with a chance of winning one of the great prizes.

Get up close and personal with a wide range of exotic animals including owls, a tarantula, snakes, lizards, giant millipedes and other creepy-crawlies!

Make your own clay pumpkin or purple turnip magnet or design your own purple t-shirt.

Face painting is also available along with balloon modelling and dancing on the interactive light floor.

On the 30 of October, from 3pm to 6pm at Navigation House, join in the Lantern parade along the Lagan Towpath, listen to some great turnip tales with Billy Teare and Kathleen O'Sullivan and try some apple tarts and pumpkin soup while listening to acoustic music in the Halloween themed tent!
