Queen’s Film Theatre (QFT)

Belfast’s only full-time provider of non-mainstream cinema, which shows the very best in new and classic world cinema. It now boasts two screens, a spacious new bar and modern lounge with air conditioning.

It was the first cinema in Belfast to present the films of Quentin Tarantino, the Coen Brothers, Krystof Kieslowski, Steven Soderbergh and many others.

It has also became the first cinema in Northern Ireland to install a digital projector, meaning that it can now screen state-of-the-art high definition digital films as well as standard celluloid films.

Becoming a member of Queens Film Theatre offers a number of exclusive benefits including £2.50 off every film you see at the theatre, the Queens Film Theatre Guide delivered to your door and an invitation to the Queens Film Theatre Annual Members' Day every December.

It also runs an Education and Outreach programme, including film talks and discussions, introduced screenings, workshops and short courses for all ages, as well as a comprehensive programme of screenings and workshops for primary and post-primary schools.

The cinema is accessible to people with disabilities running access screenings featuring audio enhancement, audio description and on-screen captioning. The theatre is also available for daytime hire during the week and at weekends.

You can book tickets in one of three ways - through the website, in person at the theatre or by telephone on 028 90971097 after 18:00. Queens Film Theatre is open seven days a week, from 18:0 until late. They also offer matinee screenings at 14:30 every Wednesday.

Available for daytime hire as a venue for meetings, conferences, presentations, launches, training days, workshops or special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, or simply a great, fun event for you and your friends.

Queens Film Theatre is the only Northern Ireland cinema which can provide you with alcoholic beverages, tea/coffee and light snacks in a warm friendly atmosphere.
