Off Road Driving

Rally & Off Road 4x4 Schools

Red - zip up your race suit and don your helmet. Amber – buckle yourself into a turbo charged rally car.
Green – spin the wheels into a world of opposite lock, drift and hair raising speed as you embark on your rally school experience.

4x4 off road driving may be at a more relaxed pace, but your pulse will still be racing as you steer through rivers and bogs, up and down rolling hills and an array of other challenging obstacles. If you get really good why not try it blind folded!

How to get started
Northern Ireland has a comprehensive list of Off Road Driving schools and Ireland’s only Motorsports Association and British Association of Rally Schools approved Rally School. There is no better way to get started than under the watchful eye of a qualified instructor. No experience or specialist equipment is required for either activity although you must be at least 17 and hold a provisional driving licence to take part in the Rally School.

Is it easy?
Your instructor is your route to success; listen to their expert guidance and ignore them at your peril! Many an instructor can relate the story that the girls often outperform the boys – because they listen whereas the boys think they are giving the lesson.

Is it expensive?
A two hour rally taster experience costs around £99 per person.
An off road driving taster cost on average £35 per person per session.
