Route:

Because of the steps at the footbridge and steep slopes only a part of the Glen is easily accessible. This leads from the Visitor Centre following the red and green arrows through a car park on to a main Park road and into the gravel/ earth track which runs for 400 metres before joining the Park road back again and hence back to the Centre.

Visitor Centre: permanent and seasonal exhibitions, free leaflets and nature books for purchase. Audio tapes and braille leaflets of park facilitites and exhibition.
Toilets for disabled; picnic tables; self service restaurant: open 10am -4.30pm from Easter to end of Sept.
Scooters for free use are available for people with limited mobility capable of riding them. Booking is advised.

Getting to the start by car:

On the southern shore of Belfast Lough, about 12 miles from Belfast City Centre (via A2). Entrance is by way of Ballyrobert Road (B20) through the village of Crawfordsburn, after which is a sharp turn left down Bridge Road South.

Getting to the start on foot:

There are also other pedestrian routes into the Park (e.g. Helen's Bay). It is clearly sign posted (brown signs) from other directions.
