Rathlin Island Birdwatching

Lying off the Causeway Coast of Antrim, Rathlin Island is a haven for gannets, gulls, larks and lapwings. The RSPB run a Visitor’s Centre near Bull Point, at the west end of the island. This Seabird Centre is based at former lighthouse buildings and offers spectacular views on the sea stacks of Kebble Nature Reserve.

Whether you are a bird enthusiast or just want to appreciate the beauty of this unspoiled, rugged part of the Northern Ireland coast, this is an ideal day out. However, please note this is a natural site with unimproved paths and trails with over eighty stairs to negotiate to visit a viewing platform. This site, therefore, may not be suitable for all visitors. Please contact the reserve for further information.
