Redmond O'Toole, 8-String Guitar

The first to adapt to Paul Galbraith's groundbreaking 'Brahms guitar', Redmond O’Toole plays an 8-string guitar in the cello position. He has performed in South America, Spain and Central Europe. Solo Irish concerts included his National Concert Hall ‘Rising Star 2009’ recital. Collaborations include violinist Elizabeth Cooney, Mary Coughlan, the Callino Quartet, Cora Venus Lunny and the Dublin Guitar Quartet and he is a regular guest of The Chieftans. He previously played electric guitar in punk and heavy metal bands.
