The Mourne Mountains are an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, perfect for hill walking, horse riding, or mountain biking. The area of Carlingford Lough is ideal for fishing, sailing, swimming and other water-sports.

Ros Na Linn is within walking distance of Rostrevor. The village is known for it's folk music festival, Fiddler's Green Festival held every summer, other events include the famous Blues on the Bay Festival during May and the Warrenpoint Festival.

Rostrevor is just over an hour's drive away from Belfast and Dublin.
