A warm welcome awaits you at Rowanbank Cottage, a modern home, standing in 9 acres of its own ground at the foot of Slieve Binnigan in the magnificent Mountains of Mourne. At Rowanbank you can relax in the large open plan sun room and soak in the unrivalled views over the Irish Sea or watch the clouds swirl around the tors of Slieve Binnigan, one of the highest Mountains in Northern Ireland. On a clear day you can see the peaks of the Isle of Man, the Wicklow Hills beyond Dublin and glimpses of the Welsh Coast toward Snowdonia.

Guests at Rowanbank enjoy the privacy of a fantastic garden surrounded by traditional dry stone walls. The property has a patio area at the front with a large picnic table and a gas barbecue, ideal for a relaxing glass of wine or an alfresco family meal.

With gardens and heath land surrounding the property there are plenty of areas for adventurous young children to explore and to let their imagination take over.

It’s no surprise that C S Lewis got his inspiration for ‘The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe’ when he was exploring the area around Rowanbank as a child.

If you want your own little piece of the Mourne Mountains, total privacy, incredible scenery and easy access to the great local facilities in Newcastle and Kilkeel then Rowanbank is the place for you and the family.
