Short Cycle Trails

You don’t have to cycle for miles and miles to enjoy cycling in Northern Ireland. Country parks, forest parks, tow paths, disused railways are home to short cycle routes under five miles, many are traffic free so therefore perfect for some family fun.

Northern Ireland has lots to offer both the experienced and novice cyclist. Good quality accommodation to suit every pocket is plentiful, and routes outlined on the website are always within reach of a good bed for the night and a hearty breakfast in the morning.

	Oxford Island, The route begins where the Kinnego Embankment meets the Annaloiste Road. Follow the bitumen path as far as it goes and this will take you to the Lough Shore and Lough Neagh DIscovery Centre. Retrace your route to take you back onto NCN 9 & 94.
	Gosford Forest Park, Family Cycle trail around Gosford Forest
	Christie Park/Somerset Riverside Park, Coleraine, Beautiful riverside cycle route along the historic bank of the Lower Bann River in Coleraine
	Ballycarton Wood/Binevenagh trail, A short linear route from Ballycarton Wood, along the forest track through Binevenagh Forest. Undulating track offers great views of the cliffs and glimpses of Lough Foyle, Magilligan and Benone Strand.
	Omagh Riverside Path to Gortnagarn, This 5.5 mile flat cycle route samples part of National Cycle Network 92 and takes in some of Tyrone's most tranquil scenery.
