Slemish Mountain
Slemish Mountain in County Antrim is about 1,500 ft above sea level, and is where Saint Patrick slaved in the fifth century. After six years, he escaped but later returned to devote the remainder of his life to bring Christianity to the Irish.
Slemish is still a place of pilgrimage in memory of Saint Patrick on Saint Patrick's Day, 17 March.
