Summer Family Days Out in Northern Ireland
There's plenty of family fun on offer in Northern Ireland this Summer. From great family events and exhilarating adventure experiences to iconic visitor attractions and our beautiful outdoors, there is something for all the family to enjoy.
Fancy an adventurous family day out? Head along to The Jungle NI in Moneymore at the edge of the Sperrin Mountains, where the whole family can have a go at activities like Zorbing, archery or even trekking with a Llama!
Another option is Clearsky Adventure Centre based at the beautiful Castle Ward estate on the shores of Strangford Lough. They also offer a variety of adventure activities (on land and water) including high-speed Sea Safari trips where you get you up close with the local marine life and the stunning scenery along the loughshore.
Want to get in touch with nature? Why not visit Belfast Zoo, which is home to over 1,000 animals including Barbary lions, red kangaroos and spider monkeys.
The whole family will love the Dalraida Festival in the grounds of Glenarm Castle in County Antrim (13 - 19 July). Attractions include the Highland Games, fine foods, live music, arts and crafts and children’s entertainment .
Also not to be missed is Ireland's oldest traditional market fair, The Auld Lammas Fair in the beautiful seaside town of Ballycastle, County Antrim (25 - 26 August). There will be street entertainment, amusements and market stalls with the chance to try out local favourites such as the delicious 'Yellow Man'.
There's also plenty of Summer family fun on offer at some of Northern Ireland's most well known attractions.
Discover the beautiful Downhill Demesne on the North Coast near Castlerock at their Kite Festival on 3 August. This will be a spectacle for all the family as a kaleidoscope of kites of all sizes fly over the estate, alongside a Wild Geese parachute display and a range of family activities.
On the same day there will be Summer Family Fun at Florence Court in County Fermanagh, as they celebrate 60 years under the care of the National Trust. There will be traditional games, races, costumed characters, music, craft stalls and much more.

You can take your four legged friend along to the Pet Fun Day and Fair at Stormont, Belfast on Saturday 19 July where there will be pony rides, craft stalls, exotic animals, a novelty dog show and more.
