Sunken Gardens

Extend your walk around the marina and stroll through the Sunken Gardens where a giant chessboard is a feature. Near the public toilets and shelter theres a delightful memorial drinking fountain with its cast iron canopy.

The Mc Kee Clock is one of the seafronts oldest and most enduring landmarks, the Bangor Marina is one of its newest and is Irelands largest Marina with over 600 berths. Bregenz House is headquarters of the Coast Guard and is named after the twinned town of Bregenz in Austria.

Past the busy boatyard opposite Tower House is the Harbour and North Pier. You have a unique opportunity to see at close quarters a rare colony of black guillemots nesting in the harbour wall. Access for disabled people.
