The 325th Annual 'Shutting of the Gates' Commemorations

This will be the annual Shutting of the Gates commemoration by the Apprentice Boys as well as the burning of the effigy of Lundy on Bishop Street which will be held at 4:00pm.

It will be the 325th annual commemoration of the gates being shut at the start of the siege of Derry in 1688-1689. there will also be a celebration of the 300th annivesary for the Apprentice boys club that was founded in 1714
