The Lecale Peninsula Tours

The Lecale Peninsula offers chauffeured and walking tours of Saint Patrick’s Country and the Mourne Coastal Route. Lecale is situated at the feet of the Mourne mountains on the shores of Strangford Lough. The area is the resting place of not only Saint Patrick but also Brigid and Columba; boasts an impressive early Christian heritage and is home to Ireland’s largest collection of castles.

Chauffeured tours encompass Saint Patrick in From landing to legacy and while the Gold ticket tour explores the Mourne Coastal Route. All chauffeured tours are broken into two hour blocks and can be built into a day packages, pick-ups and drop-offs can be arranged for a fee. Walking tours will operate throughout the year but are also available for booking. All tours are enhanced with images; and a rich narrative of original stories, artefacts and folklore provided by Duane Fitzsimons, regional tour guide.

All tours may be booked through Duane who holds both World Host Ambassador and Customer Service.
