Offering state of the art accommodation facilities for trekkers and visitors to the Mourne District in Northern Ireland, the newly built Cnocnafeola Centre rests in the tranquil surroundings of Attical. The Centre lies between the Silent Valley and Spelga Dam. Local attractions include horse riding, golf, fishing, climbing, sailing, wind surfing and spectacular sight seeing. The Cnocnafeola centre, a purpose built hostel/budget accommodation centre, has a large spacious lounge area with comfy chairs, television, video, DVD, games and a selection of books. Within the lounge area there is a fully equipped kitchen for use by all residents. Groups also have the option to have their meals catered for in our restaurant.

Location / Directions

Atticall is a rural village situated on the road between Spelga Pass and Silent Valley in the foothills of the Mournes Mountains, in County Down. The fishing port of Kilkeel is four miles east of Attical, with Carlingford Lough to the south. Newry Town is twenty miles West, and Belfast is fifty miles North. Atticall is the most inland of the villages in the Mourne area and is extremely attractive in terms of it's physical setting, surrounded to the North, West and East by Southern Mournes and to the South by Knockchree and Aughrim Hills.
