The Playhouse Theatre is a small, intimate theatre, with beautiful acoustics and the sort of atmosphere that, for a new purpose built theatre, simply cannot be designed.
Used by touring professional companies, musicians, amateur and community groups, the Theatre has hosted World, European and Irish Premiers, yet it also provides a space for Primary School children to take their first steps on stage, or for a community group of adults to explore their own theatrical stories.
The Playhouse programmes high quality touring theatre, music, comedy, dance & children’s shows on a guarantee, split, or rental basis, and artists who have performed include Prime Cut Productions, Reduced Shakespeare Co, Kieran Goss, Damien Rice, Dubbeljoint Theatre Co, Jeremy Hardy, Rough Magic Theatre Co, Pimlico Opera & Juan Martin.
