The Slip is situated on the shorefront of Portaferry, overlooking the Marina and Strangford Lough. We are the only pub on the seafront and enjoy amazing views from the bar and our upstairs lounge area.
Records show, the building has been used as a public house since the late 1700’s and it is recognised as one of the oldest in the area.
The Slip offers that little bit more, and will soon be serving Afternoon Tea/Coffee with Cupcakes and Traybakes for the daytime visitor. If you are staying longer, we offer a variety of entertainment through the week, including live music, pub quizzes, discos and theme nights.
Our upstairs lounge is perfect for business meetings and other social/family events and we are happy to assist with any catering arrangements. Our outdoor terrace is perfect for families, and kids should keep an eye out for regular special events .
The Slip is only 45 minutes from Belfast and a perfect stop on a day (or night) out when visiting the many attractions of the area.
