Titanic Tours Belfast is owned and operated by Susie Millar, the great granddaughter of a crew member, Thomas Millar, who worked in Harland & Wolff building Titanic and he also sailed on her maiden voyage in 1912. His story has been passed down through three generations of the Millar family. Susie was a television reporter in Northern Ireland for over twenty years, before leaving in 2008 to start Titanic Tours Belfast. She reported on some of the worst years of the Troubles in Belfast and knows the city inside-out. As well as the Titanic aspect of the tour, Susie can relay a more recent history of Belfast, through her recent experiences.
As part of your journey back through the history of the great liner, you will get to visit SS Nomadic, the last surviving vessel of the White Star Line and the tender used to ferry First Class Passengers to Titanic. This is an EXCLUSIVE feature of the tour as SS Nomadic is not open to the public currently. DUE TO ONGOING RESTORATION, SS NOMADIC IS CLOSED & DUE TO CONSTRUCTION WORK, THE TITANIC SLIPWAYS WILL NOT FORM PART OF THIS TOUR UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
