It's a great way to see the historic, architectural and cultural places of interest, and there's so many delightful excuses to stop along the way! Many of our Town Trails are themed, so if you have a special interest, choose a walk to suit! Or, for the stories behind the scenes, talk a guided walk. Be surprised too, just how much country is in our cities, with parks, river walks and urban forest rich in beauty and wildlife.
New this year!
Laganside Art Trail - A work of art in itself, meandering for several miles along the River Lagan through Belfast's heart, passing over 30 sculptures. The Trail runs from Clarendon Dock through the Cathedral Quarter past the Quays and Lanyon Place and continues towards Governor's Bridge, but can be divided into shorter walks. Architectural highlights include Lagan Lookout, Belfast Waterfront Hall, Odyssey Arena, bridges, ferry ports, historic Customs House, Samson and Goliath, plus artworks including the famous Fish! Guidebook with maps and details about each sculpture and its artist available from Lagan Lookout or Tourist Information Offices.
