Tyrella Beach

Tyrella Beach and conservation area is a small enclosed beach and dune complex within Dundrum Bay, comprising of a wide flat sandy beach, 2km long and backed by 25Ha of mature dunes. Tyrella Beach offers a car free zone with off beach parking, a lifeguard service in July and August, amenities and tourist information. It is also a stop over point on the coastal path walking network. An ideal destination for locals and visitors alike, the clean waters invite water sport enthusiasts and the beach provides a safe haven for families and groups who wish to picnic in a clean environment.

Tyrella Beach is located within an ASSI. The beach and conservation area is backed by 25 hectares of mature sand dunes where wild flowers and bird life can be observed in their natural coastal habitat. Discover the fascinating marine life in the rock pools and along the waters edge whilst exploring the seaside vegetation.
