Bushmills is renowned for its Whiskey Distillery and interesting "Tours and Tastings" are popular with visitors. "Finn McCool's" famous Giant's Causeway and Visitors Centre is 2 miles from the cottage and the famous swinging Rope Bridge at Carrick-a-rede is just 3 miles further along the Coast Road. The picturesque harbour village of Portballintrae has a choice of sandy beaches and fishing boat trips are available from the harbour – details from Portballintrae Village Shop. Trips on the Ballycastle ferry run daily to Rathlin Island where you can explore the Island and the famous bird sanctuary at Bull Point. There are 8 local coastal resorts with beautiful sandy beaches and 7 golf courses (including Royal Portrush). The area also has the remains of 3 interesting castles namely Dunluce, Dunseverick and Benbane. Two indoor leisure centres are situated within a 10 mile radius.
