Welcome. If your idea of a holiday is a break from the constant doings of everyday living you have found it. We have just completed redecorating in January 2013 and now offer free WiFi.
Wake up each morning to green fields, our guests tell us the closest thing to an alarm call is if the resident pheasant taps the window looking for a treat. After breakfast, we supply eggs from our own flock of hens, a short stroll to the lough takes you past the pond with our resident duck Quackers and a wild mallard who are now an item. They love any treats.
You can fish on this pond, guests have caught perch, bream and eel, and although the pike has been pulled in on tow with another fish, he lives to fight another day.
The private walk to our Lough Neagh shoreline takes five minutes where you can enjoy the view from the picnic table. Along the walk an old tree trunk and large stones are good stopping points to enjoy the peace and observe the goings on in nature. From here there is a choice of paths through 20 acres of our ASSI shoreline.
The area is rich in flora and fauna. Readily spotted are siskins, bullfinches, kingfisher, buzzard, shellduck, teal, dragonfly, butterfly, orchid and I have seen owls, badgers, foxes, rabbits, mink, stoats, newts and the highlight for me was spotting two otters playing with their tea, an eel.
Jungle NI adventure centre is less than ten minutes away.
