For anyone travelling to Portrush by train the apartments are ideal as you can disembark and walk across the road to our apartments. No need for a taxi! For those who want an experience with a difference, leave the car behind, board the nearby train and embark on one of the "World's Great Rail Journeys" along the coast via Castlerock to Derry/Londonderry.You can also board the train to go shopping etc. in Coleraine.
The nearby West Strand is a blue flag beach, clean and one of the safest along this coast. It is very popular with families and surfers.Fishing is possible along the coast from the western section of the beach westwards.
The Ballyreagh Par three Golf Course is within walking distance and the old Portstewart 18 hole Course just beyond. The famous Royal Portrush course where Graeme McDowell and Darren Clarke, our "major" champions, practised so often in just approx.one mile away with the cheaper, but excellent Rathmore Course alonside.
Turning westwards from Dhu Varren, you will arrive within five minutes by car in Portstewart and the whole Inishowen Peninsula for touring. Castlerock and Benone Strand are within easy reach.
All Portrush Amenities are on our doorstep, including Waterworld, the Dunluce Centre, Barry's Amusements etc.
All the attractions of the "Causeway Coast" are convenient in the easterly direction including Portballintrae, the Giants Causeway, Dunluce castle, Carrick-a-Reed Rope Bridge, Bushmills Distillery, Whitepark Bay, Ballintoy, Ballycastle and from it access via ferry to Rathlin Island.
FRom Portrush take the A2 Portstewart road turn sharp left before you go under the railway Bridge and you will turn into Dhu Varren.
