Open all the year round. During July/August we operate "family Weeks" from Sat to Sat. We also specialise in Mid week and weekend breaks or as required from a low base of £130 for an apartment for one night. For anyone travelling to Portrush by train the apartments are ideal as you can get off the train at the Dhu Varren halt across th road and walk in! No need for a taxi!
For those who want an experience with a difference, leave the car behind, board the train and embark on one of the world's undisputed "Rail Journeys".This will take you up the coast with stunning views all the way to Derry/Londonderry.You can also board the train to go shopping etc. in Coleraine, just a stop away.
The nearby West Strand is a blue flag beach, clean and one of the safest along this North Coast. It is very popular with families and surfers.Fishing is possible along the coast from the western section of the beach.
We are close to many golf courses, the nearest, the Ballyreagh Par Three,being within walking distance. Just beyond it is the municipal old Portstewart 18 hole course. In the other direction lies the famous Royal Portrush Golf Club, home to two of our greatest golfers Graeme McDowell and Darren Clarke, and beside it is the 18 hole Rathmore course.
Turning westward from Dhu Varren, you will arrive within five minutes by car in Portstewart, and at the start of the whole Inishowen Peninsula(short cut via the nearby ferry from Magilligan)and Donegal. Castlerock and Benone beaches are worth a visit.
All Portrush amenities are on our doorstep, including Waterworld, the Dunluce Centre, Barry's Amusements etc.
In the easterly direction are the attractions of the "Causeway Coast", including the Giants causeway, Portballintrae, Bushmills Distillery, Carrick-a -Rede Rope bridge, Whitepark Bay, Ballintoy, Ballycastle, and if you boad the ferry there you will arrive in Rathlin Island for a day's exploration.
Basic directions: From Portrush take the A2 Portstewart road.Turn left just before the railway bridge and you are there!
