White Lough

White Lough is a most attractive lough in a pleasant setting by Rehaghy Mountain, near Aughnacloy. There is a surfaced path from the adjoining country road around the entire shoreline and numerous fishing stands have been provided. Since it was designated as a rainbow trout fishery, it has proved very popular with anglers. The fishery is stocked with 3000 takeable rainbow trout which can be caught on buzzers and lures such as Sweeny Todd. Visitors may enjoy a quiet walk around the shore provided no annoyance is caused to the adjoining landowners. Small boats are permitted but power-boating is not allowed.
