Christmas shopping in Cookstown gets a special boost with the return of the Winter Craft Fair at the Burnavon Arts and Cultural Centre.
This year, with extended opening hours and a better than ever range of quality crafts and fine foods, you have the perfect opportunity to make a serious assault on your Christmas shopping list.
Bespoke, costume and precious metal jewellery, decorative and functional ceramics, textiles to wear and for the home, original artwork and prints, wood turned giftware and irresistible soaps and beauty products will be on offer alongside a range of delicious foods. So you are sure to find something that appeals to your taste and fits your budget.
With eleven makers taking part for the first time this year, the fair continues to showcase exciting new ranges and products - watch out for Diane McCormick, LyndaB and Susie Crooks if ceramics are your thing. Or treat yourself to a very special new piece of jewellery by silversmith Nikki Terlik or local artist Allyson Bell.
Artists George Gourley, Denis and Rosemary Ferguson and Marie Woods will be joined this year by Patricia Conlin who works in inks and resins to produce distinctive framed artwork and cards. Those with a soft spot for textiles can choose from beautiful handbags by Rehash, felted hats and brooches by Joollywoolly or Pompom’s range of gorgeous knitted accessories, bags and kidswear.
In addition to the vast range of crafts, the fair also offers a selection of fine foods and home baked products. Just visit the gallery space upstairs to be tempted by the delicious ranges of jams, chutneys, Christmas puddings, breads and bakes.
In an effort to make your visit to the fair even more enjoyable we are also delighted that an array of local musical talent will be there to entertain you while you shop.
