Carnaclasha and Owenabwee are two NITB awarded 5-star self-catering Houses located on the Rostrevor Holidays premises, 2 miles outside of Rostrevor, Co. Down. These large houses have modern luxury, from deep comfortable sofas and chairs, to extra spacious bedrooms – all of which are en-suite. With such room, they are ideal for a group of friends having a reunion, or family groups.
The large living/dining areas have views out over the wild-flower garden, down through Kilbroney Valley to Carlingford Lough. One has a large open-fire, whilst the other has a Jotul wood burning stove. The kitchen areas are fitted out in light oak with Mourne granite worktops. Modern conveniences, such as a dishwasher, washer/dryer, food processor, microwave, are included. Under-floor heating runs through the hall, whilst the bedrooms have warm carpet. Both houses have oil-fired central heating. In each house, 2 of the bedrooms have two single beds, whilst the third bedroom has a double and one single bed. Each bedroom has a remote controlled television and large, built in wardrobes.
The 5* Houses are situated slightly away from the other cottages on-site, and are nestled between the Cross River and the Yellow Water River. The 2km riverside/farm nature trail can be started from beside the houses. On-site, we have a children’s playground, and a tennis court. The world-famous Royal County Down Links Golf Course is only 20 minutes drive from Rostrevor Holidays.
If you are looking to explore Ireland, Rostrevor is the perfect place to base yourself. Belfast can be reached within an hour, whilst Dublin is only 90 minutes away. We will be happy to help you with your travel plans. The local area is brimming with places to see and discover, from the colours of the trees in Kilbroney Forest Park through to the magnificent views from Clough Mor. If you are looking to do some shopping, the local town of Newry is rarely out of the news these days as a great place to go, whilst The Outlet in Banbridge offers great savings on well-known brands.
