This quaint one bedroom cottage provides a cosy base from which to explore the stunning Causeway Coast and Antrim Glens. Set back from the road in the pretty seaside town of Ballycastle, it occupies a prime location just 600 yards from the beach. It is adjacent to shops, bars and restaurants and also has both tennis courts and fantastic 18 hole golf links within a short walk. Guests can benefit from 'with member' rates at Ballycastle Golf Club.
Upstairs is a double bedroom with small ensuite shower room including WC. Downstairs is an open plan sitting room/kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped and seating area includes a sofa bed. Provision of the sofa bed makes the cottage suitable for 2 adults with a child, the accommodation is not suitable for 3 adults due to restricted space. As this is a character cottage with low beams and a steep narrow staircase it may not be suitable for those with mobility problems or above average frame. Cot and high chair may be available on request.
Outside is a private patio area with table and chairs.
Ballycastle is right at the heart of the Causeway Coast and Glens, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The world famous Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, the castles of Kinbane and Dunluce, Bushmills Distillery and three of the nine Glens are all within easy reach, approximately a 10 mile radius. Along the Causeway Coastal Route which has been included in the world's top ten most spectacular drives, the magnificent Torr head and Murlough Bay. Walking maps supplied.
Just 6 miles from the mainland lies Rathlin island. Ferries leave regularly from Ballycastle marina for the 45(or express 25) minute crossing. A paradise for walkers, nature lovers and ornithologists, the island boasts internationally important flora and fauna and is home to both seals and the largest seabird colony in Northern Ireland.
