MTV EMA in Belfast Receives Highest Ratings in Eight Years

The 2011 MTV EMA – broadcast last Sunday from Belfast's Odyssey Arena – received the highest EMA audience ratings for the UK since the event was held in Edinburgh in 2003 .

The event also outperformed online with EMA related page views on MTV.co.uk totalling almost 500,000 – up an incredible 530% year on year.

In addition, audience ratings for the EMA: RED CARPET show, broadcast before the main show at 8pm, increased by 400% compared to 2010, with a total audience of 193.2 and 92.6 16-34s tuning in to watch presenters and performers walk the carpet.
