What's on in our gardens

It’s not only bees busying themselves in our gardens over the next few months, the many fun and fascinating events planned for 2014 will also keep you buzzing all year.  From garden fairs to the Apple Blossom Festival; from award winning Roses to Northern ireland's top gardening event The Garden Show Ireland at Antrim Castle Gardens, there's a rich variety of exciting, educational and fun events for young and old. 

There's something for everyone taking place in Northern Ireland's gardens from May to September.

 

Just Some Ideas

Forest Fun and Minibeast Hunt - European Geoparks Week, Legnabrocky, Enniskillen

Come along and join staff at the Marble Arch Caves on Saturday 7th June, in a hunt for unseen wildlife in the Marble Arch National Nature Reserve. We will hunt in habitats throughout the Nature Reserve, catching and identifying invertebrates as we go!

Exploring the Cliffs of Magho, Derrygonnelly, Enniskillen

Come along and join Geopark staff for a guided walk along the newly refurbished Magho Cliffs pathway leading from the shore road to the Magho Viewpoint.

Bog Day Celebration at Cuilcagh Mountain Park, Legnabrocky, Enniskillen

Join us in Cuilcagh Mountain Park to find out a bit more about the fascinating bog habitats that dominate the Geopark.

Minimising Garden Maintenance, Ballyclare

If you love your garden but not keen on its maintenance, this event is for you. Ballyrobert Cottage Garden has been designed to minimise maintenance and employs the best horticultural practice to ensure its upkeep is kept at a low level.
