Start your day with tea or coffee at Antrim Civic Centre Café, before visiting the magnificent Antrim Round Tower, one of the finest of its kind in Ireland. 28 metres high, it was built as a bell tower around the 10th century for protection from marauding raiders and along with the Ballaun Stone, is an impressive reminder of Antrim’s ancient monastic settlement.

After a short journey out of Antrim you will arrive at World of Owls in the heart of Randalstown Forest, Northern Ireland’s only owl, bird of prey and exotic animal conservation centre. This is your chance to meet a host of owls from around the world as well as falcons, kestrels, buzzards and hawks. There’s also some creepy spiders, snakes and other reptiles to see.

Stop for lunch in Truffles Restaurant in Randalstown, before heading to Junction One International Outlet Centre 5 for some excellent retail therapy. Junction One has over 70 individual outlets offering low cost surplus stock, samples and previous season stock with lots of famous brands at low prices.
