Ballet events in Northern Ireland to dazzle Larne audiences

30 October 2009 -

Those visiting Larne next week can watch one of the most dazzling attractions in Northern Ireland, as the highly-acclaimed Ballet Ireland Company is coming to town.

The event will take place on November 6th at the McNeill Theatre, where audiences will be treated to a performance of The Lyric Suite and Cinderella.

Based on the legendary tale of the slave who longs to meet her Prince Charming, Cinderella will see dancers take part in a number of energetic routines told through music, with some of the nation's top ballet performers keeping the crowd entertained.

Rachael McMaster, Larne's arts and events officer, commented: "This well-loved fairytale with a twist is a total delight and will entertain audiences of all ages."

Meanwhile, those in the region this weekend can take part in a number of Halloween activities in Northern Ireland, including the Larne Alive event, which is being held at Carnfunnock Country Park and will feature a fancy dress competition, stalls and a treasure hunt.ADNFCR-1859-ID-19435171-ADNFCR
