The reopening of the historic Belfast City Hall has been marked with multicultural events in Northern Ireland.
A number of activities have taken place to celebrate the Irish-speaking community, with more planned this weekend to cast the spotlight on people from other cultural backgrounds.
Tomorrow night (October 24th), a special multicultural event is taking place at City Hall to mark the twin festivals of Diwali and Samhain and highlight Belfast as a place with diverse residents.
The evening follows similar events in Northern Ireland's capital being held to mark the reopening of the venue and celebrate Belfast's rich cultural heritage, including an Ulster-Scots evening which took place on Wednesday.
An evening of music and literature in Northern Ireland was also held at City Hall on Tuesday October 20th to highlight the contribution which the Irish language has made to Belfast's history.
Meanwhile, a plaque was recently unveiled in the city's Crescent Gardens to mark the contributions of writer Sam Hanna Bell, one of the finest creators of literature in Northern Ireland.
