Belfast 'to reveal musical past'

The Belfast Music Tour will begin showcasing the city's songwriting heritage from this Friday (March 13th).
Visitors looking to experience music in Northern Ireland will be able take a bus trip to view the environment that inspired the melodies of Van Morrison and Them every fortnight and see venues that have hosted historic concerts from Led Zeppelin, The Clash and U2.
The tour will begin at the newly-refurbished Ulster Hall, before heading through Belfast's unique musical landscape, which has delivered artists as various as Ruby Murray, Gary Moore and Stiff Little Fingers, and finishing at the Oh Yeah centre, home of the Belfast Music Exhibition.
In similar fashion to Liverpool, Belfast's industrial heritage has inspired many local rock bands, while the city's life as a bustling port has ensured the enduring influence of American culture on its music scene.
The Moving On Music festival will return to Belfast for it's second year from March 25th to 29th and see performances from jazz guitarist Mike Nielsen.
