Circus comes to town in Belfast

3 July 2009 -

People out on the streets of Belfast this weekend will be able to watch some interesting performances when the circus comes to the city.

As part of Belfast's Summer Sundays scheme, Barren Carousel and Jitterbug Jackson will be in the Cathedral Quarter performing tricks and making the audience laugh.

Jitterbug Jackson will juggle with lots of different props and carry out the blindfold ladder-balance egg challenge.

Meanwhile other artists set to perform include Toot Sweet, Wolfegang Glochenspiel, performing classical music on bicycle horns while atop a unicycle, and the comedic double act of Jones and Barnard.

Other events being held for the Summer Sundays scheme include the chance to visit the Alternative Ulster Museum and free tours of Belfast art galleries.

People not in Belfast on Sunday can still take advantage of art tours, with galleries opening until 21:00 BST on the first Thursday of the month throughout the summer.ADNFCR-1859-ID-19249230-ADNFCR
