Comfort Hotel impresses journalist

23 October 2008 -

A journalist has described his stay at the Comfort Hotel in Portrush, saying in the Zimbabwe Star the experience was a pleasurable one and that he will return there in the future.

The writer stayed at the establishment, which was originally the Antrim Arms in the 1800s, and opted for a sea view room which he said allowed him to look out onto the Atlantic Ocean.

Regarding the room, the journalist claimed all his needs were met, with a television and plentiful storage space.

The shower and bathing facilities were "excellent" and "worked perfectly" he added.

Moving onto the bar and restaurant, the visitor said there was a good selection of beers on hand, while the lamb burger and leek and potato soup off the menu was described as "delicious".

Summing up, the writer stated: "In all a pleasurable experience and I have listed the hotel for a future stay when I return to Northern Ireland.

Those looking for comfortable accommodation in Northern Ireland while they travel could find they have the same enjoyable stay the Zimbabwean visitor had.

Portrush has some of the best attractions in Northern Ireland, with sites such as the Giants Causeway, the Old Bushmills Distillery and the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge all located there.
