Fermanagh Fireworks Festival to go off with a bang

28 October 2009 -

Final preparations are taking place for the annual Fermanagh Fireworks Festival, which promises to be one of the most spectacular events in Northern Ireland.

The festival will take place this Saturday (October 31st) when visitors descend on Castle Island's Lakeland Canoe Centre, which is beside the River Erne in Enniskillen.

The official viewing area for spectators will be the grounds of the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, with organiser George Beacom promising that all efforts will be made to ensure that this year's extravaganza supersedes all previous ones since it was first held in 2001.

Those visiting Fermanagh this weekend can also get caught up in the wide range of Halloween activities taking place in Northern Ireland, including a programme at the Share Holiday Village, Lisnaskea.

Taster sessions in sailing, kayaking, canoeing, banana skiing, archery, climbing and pedal go-karting are taking place throughout the day to get people in the mood for the night-time fireworks.ADNFCR-1859-ID-19430604-ADNFCR
