A £1.2 million campaign designed to promote culture, food and activities in Northern Ireland was launched yesterday.
Arlene Foster, the tourism minister, announced the initiative's goal of promoting the available options to visitors from the UK.
She says: "[It will be] highlighting the wide range of culture, festivals and local food on offer, along with the genuine warmth and welcome of the people here."
Visitors will continue to be drawn by the activities in Northern Ireland despite the recession, she claims, and the campaign involves partners such as Ryanair, Stena Line and Aer Lingus.
Ms Foster says that the campaign will boost the number of people visiting the country from now and into the beginning of 2010, reinforcing the Autumn Marketing Campaign that began in August.
Those wanting to beat the rush could visit on October 31st to experience the Metro Monster Mash, one of a series of events in Northern Ireland that will be celebrating Halloween.
