People heading to North Down will find that the restaurants there are among the most hygienic places to eat food in Northern Ireland, according to a new report.
A study conducted by the North Down and Ards borough councils has found that over 80 per cent of the area's eateries have a rating of good or excellent.
The ratings are based on information gathered by environmental health officers during routine inspections of food premises from September 2008 and councillor Tony Hill said that the popularity of the region's restaurants and cafes is a testament to their owners.
"This is excellent news for the borough and I do hope that high-performing premises will want to publicise their success by displaying their star rating certificates and stickers," he explained.
Those in North Down on November 28th will be able to take part in festive events in Northern Ireland, as the Christmas lights are being switched on at Holywood's Redburn Square.
