Olympic medal holder Christine Ohuruogu has been confirmed to appear at an athletics event in Northern Ireland.
The 400m champion will attend the Woodie's DIY Irish Indoor Senior Championships, to be held at Belfast's Odyssey Arena on February 7th to 8th.
Ms Ohuruogu will compete in the event and be the first Olympic champion to enter a competition in Northern Ireland since Linford Christie in 1992.
The 24-year-old running star will battle it out with local athletics in the 60m and 200m events.
John Allen, director of the event and general secretary of Athletics Northern Ireland, says he is delighted by Ms Ohuruogu's attendance.
"It is not often we get to see such a well-known Olympic champion compete in the province and I hope the local athletics fans will give her the welcome she deserves," he adds.
Entries for the championships close in two days on January 23rd, with possible entrants able to apply online or download a form from the website.
