Budget airline easyJet will move its flights to George Best Belfast City Airport in January and is no longer flying from Belfast International Airport.
The carrier said that, from next year, the twice-daily connection to Luton Airport will move to the new hub, with other flights set to follow suit.
If the move is successful, easyJet said it would consider moving more flights but, for now, the majority of its routes will still run from Belfast International Airport.
Travellers who have already booked their flights for next year can get a free transfer to the Belfast City Airport route or get a full refund on their ticket.
Paul Simmons, regional general manager for the UK at the airline, said: "We are number one in the region, but we are not complacent. That is why we want to see if our passengers flying on selected shorter routes would prefer to fly via Belfast City Airport."
Earlier this month, George Best Belfast City Airport revealed that it saw passenger traffic in August increase by 8.3 per cent.
