On the Lough (Strangford Lough)

Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Strangford Lough is the largest sea inlet in the British Isles. It is therefore a unique setting and perfect for water sport enthusiasts.

There are a lot of activity providers which provide perfect family days out, accommodate school groups and corporate events. So whether you are wanting a tour of the lough, experience an exhilarating sea safari, sailing, bouldering, canoeing/kayaking or diving to explore the marine life of the lough - you are in for a great adventure.

DV Diving is a PADI Five Star Dive Centre, TDI Facility, RYA Training Centre and HSE recognised scuba assessment centre based at Strangford Lough, County Down, Northern Ireland.

Nelsons Boats, Donaghadee

Public trips from Donaghadee harbour from June - September. Sea fishing twice daily with some tackle provided. Afternoon pleasure cruises (some landing) to the scenic Copeland Islands.

Cooke Street Jetty, Portaferry

Ards Borough Council permits the use of the facilities at Cooke Street Boat Park by boat owners, fishing vessels and day sailors.

All vessel owners leaving a vessel on land in the Boat Park should register with the Leisure Services Department, Tel: 028 9182 4018 and provide the following details:

- Name of owner

- Owner's address

- Home (and mobile if available) contact numbers

- Brief description of boat (with name of boat if there is one)

- Likely duration of stay at Cooke St jetty
