Belfast Castle Estate

Belfast Castle estate is situated on the lower slopes of Cave Hill Country Park in north Belfast.

It contains both parkland and mature mixed woodland and offers superb views of the city from a variety of vantage points.

The estate is home to many different species of wildlife, including long-eared owls, sparrowhawks and Belfast’s rarest plant, the town hall clock.

Park features include Cave Hill Adventurous Playground, Cave Hill Visitor Centre, landscaped gardens, a Millennium herb garden, ecotrails and orienteering routes.

We also offer refreshments (in Belfast Castle), scenic views, full car parking facilities and a wide variety of wildlife.

Opening times

Tuesday - Saturday: 09:00 - 22.30 Sunday - Monday 09:00 - 18:00, private tours on request. Visitors must check with reception.
