Crannagael House

About

Located in the midst of the apple growing country of Co Armagh, Crannagael House offers a tranquil getaway location, away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Guests are encouraged to wander around the grounds and enjoy the stunning views of the local area and on a clear day the Mourne Mountains are visible from the end of the garden!

Younger, and not so young, are free to run around and meet Rita the donkey and Dixie the pony - and there is a rumour of fairies in the woodland.....

The accommodation offers a double room with king size bed, a twin room with original stripped pine ‘nursery’ furniture and on the ground floor another single next to the shower room with wc and washhand basin – almost an ensuite.

Upstairs the bathroom has a bath, shower, wc and washhand basin, plus an amazing view of the gardens and miles across the countryside.

Although in the heart of the countryside it is a central location from which to explore Northern Ireland - barely an hour from Belfast, about 70 minutes from the Causeway Coast and similar for Enniskillen in the west.

The lovely Georgian city of Armagh is 15 minutes away and has so much to offer – 2 cathedrals, museums, the Armagh Robinson library, Georgian architecture around the Mall and wonderful restaurants.

Game of Thrones fans can visit the Dark Hedges and Tollymore Forest Park for the many locations featured in the series and from next Spring the Studios in Banbridge will be open for tours.

There are 3 golf courses nearby, one in the charming village of Loughgall, another in Armagh and one in Portadown.

We love dogs subject to the approval of Jack the Westie and Toby the Yorkie – please ask. (A cleaning charge will apply)

(Please note – this is a rural location and the nearest shop is a filling station and supermarket about a mile away. About 3 miles away is another filling station and supermarket, together with a coffee shop and excellent butcher. Own transport is required, secure parking available.)
