Established in 1766 this truly traditional County Antrim pub provides a warm welcome for locals and tourists. There is traditional music every Friday night while on Saturday night the occasional musical flavour is typically folk. Late opening until 01:00 allows plenty of time to enjoy the atmosphere of this well established pub.
The House of McDonnell is mentioned in a number of traditional Irish poems and songs; they, and many others, are regularly performed during the Friday night traditional music sessions throughout the year, when musicians from all over Ireland come to play in one the best known traditional music venues in the world. Some of the most famous names in Irish music have played here in recent years. Find 'Causeway Music' on Google for more detailed information on our traditional music scene.
There is also ease of access for disabled persons.
