The project aims to promote the conservation and improvement of the Dibney River and uses all the aspects of the medium of Fly Tying, Fishing, Casting and the environmental aspects of these elements to generate an awareness throughout the community. The fly Fair also continues to promote Strangford Lough as a sport fishing destination and the whole of the Strangford catchment as a place to visit and vacation in.

Set in the village of Killyleagh and the having this year the stunning Killyleagh Castle as its main venue. This setting places our “Fair” in a league of its own with a warm village welcome, and great hospitality.
This fair is also used to highlight the aims of our trust and its plight in trying to get the various government agencies involved in the Strangford area to co-operate and assist us to move forward with our planned river works.

Included in this list of tyers and dressers who are showcasing their skills at the Fair we have undoubtedly some of the world’s best here is an the opportunity to pull up a chair beside them and learn new patterns, get tips and hints even purchase a special pattern you have always wanted.
