Under our 'Dig for Victory' theme on Saturday, visitors can hand feed small farm animals and pets in a 1940's wartime farmyard scene. Our 'in-house' Land Girls' will talk about evacuees, jam making and how to look after your hens. On Sunday there will be inter-generational activities. Adults can view clips from Pathe news reels and wartime posters. Children can engage in craft activities and badge making.

Graymount House
Downton Abbey vs. 1900 Belfast

Now Hazelwood College, erected originally c1835 for William Gray, a linen merchant by Thomas Jackson, Architect. A Regency house with neo-Classical detailing. Titanic Society will be on hand to talk about life in the 1900's and industry in Belfast to include ship building. Displays of Edwardian Costumes. Victorian children will act as tour walkers. The community choir of Hazelwood will entertain. Tea/Coffee and refreshments will be available.

Beechmount House

La Oidhreachta Teach Ard na bhFea - Beechmount House Heritage Day

Teach Ard na bhFeá (Beechmount House) was recorded on Taylor and Skinner's maps of 1777 as belonging to Joseph Wallace. Our heritage day will celebrate and showcase the fascinating 240 year long story, with guided tours, talks and cameo re-enactments.
