Loughs Brandan And Lee

Lough Bradan is an upland lake situated in the scenic Lough Bradan forest 19.2 km west of Omagh. The lake is well stocked with brown trout which rise freely to the evening hatch of terrestrial flies. Bait fishing is more rewarding early in the season.Anglers are advised to use the east bank.
Lough Lee is located in a wild and beautiful setting among the mountains of west Tyrone. In spite of its isolation, the walk from the nearest country road, less than 1.6 km, takes 25 to 30 minutes by the path staked out for anglers. This is sheep country and dogs are not welcome. All legal methods of angling are permitted.
Trout up to 1 kg are abundant but can be difficult to entice with some larger trout up to 1 kg also taken from time to time.
