This is a restored building in the 'clachan' of Hannas Close on the outskirts of the seaside town of Kilkeel. The part of the Kilkeel River below Hannas Close was extensively upgraded in 2005 with fishing pools, restocking of the river and a network of paths, bridges, stepping stones and picnic areas.

Cottage is within easy driving distance to Silent Valley Mountain Park.

Annalong Corn Mill, Kilkeel Nautilus Centre(contains Maritime Museum and Tracing Your Mourne Roots), Cranfield Blue flag beach ande harbour all near-by.
