General information

Rambles for people with limited mobility - Mount Stewart

A ramble around this National Trust property to see the famous gardens and house.

Starting at reception, take the path which leads on to the gravel path at the back of the house. Turn right down the long avenue veering to the left after the ornamental urn.

At the junction take the right hand path which leads in an anti-clockwise direction all the way around the lake and back to the side of the house. Enter the tall ornamental gates and view the sunken garden.

Exit the gates and turn left along the earthen path on the left which leads to the Shamrock Garden. Cross the grass area beyond, heading for the Cypress hedge archways to the Spanish Garden. Cross this and view the Italian garden.

Pathways then lead to the Dodo terrace, Fountain Walk and Main Garden. From here you can exit, bringing you back to the Reception area and car parks.
